I didn’t like it initially because the sandalwood note is quite strong. This fragrance is one of the more unusual perfumes I’ve tried recently. Other reviewers have described this perfume as synthetic smelling, but I disagree. This perfume could cross into the gourmand category, but I don’t perceive this to be a true ‘foody’ gourmand. The creaminess and chestnut create a ‘milky’ quality which has a comforting cosy aroma. The dry down is powdery, but not at all in an old-fashioned way. This is Her! is a creamy, nutty floral with an almost fizzy freshness that glides over the top, thanks to a delightful pink pepper burst at the opening. Kudos to Zadig and Voltaire for putting out a daring feminine perfume that is different to the masses of fruity floral fragrances out there.
